The story goes that Walt Disney’s birth mother gave birth to baby Walt illegitimately and was forced to flee the area out of shame. She traveled to America where she found refuge. Once in America she found her way to Chicago where she gave Walt up for adoption. Flora and Elias Disney took the poor child in and raised him to become the man we all know. None of these claims can be proven because all legal documentation of babies born in the area was burned during the Spanish Civil War. The people of the area continue to tell the story based on pure faith.
